During the last 58 years, Jack Darrah has assembled over a thousand items, portraits, mementoes and artefacts relating to the life and times of Sir Winston Churchill - war leader, politician, soldier, sportsman and writer. First opened by Kate Adie, the BBC TV News Correspondent in August 2003, these are now all on display at Bletchley Park near Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire.

Bletchley Park, also known as 'Station X', was home to the famous code breakers of the Second World War. During World War II, the German armed forces top secret codes were broken at Bletchley Park thus providing Churchill and the Allies with vital information towards their war effort. As part of this work, 'Colossus' - the world's first programmable computer - and other pioneering technology, which we all so easily take for granted today, were initiated at Bletchley Park between 1939 and 1946.

After falling into neglect Bletchley Park is now an important heritage site run by a charitable Trust (Bletchley Park is a registered charity no 1012743), with historic buildings, exhibitions and tours for visitors. The Churchill Memorabilia collection provides a unique insight into Sir Winston Churchill and it has become a major attraction to visitors to the Park.
